1. Introduction
Join our CPD-accredited one-day workshop, designed for business owners, inventors, designers, coaches, accountants, lecturers, and IP managers. Led by the IPO Business Outreach Team, you’ll gain practical insights into:

protecting and defending your IP in the UK and abroad

understanding others’ IP to avoid legal issues

managing trade secrets and confidentiality
The workshop is interactive and engaging, featuring presentations, case studies, quizzes, and exercises. A booklet is provided for reference.
2. Why learn with us?
The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) can help businesses, innovators and entrepreneurs understand how intellectual property (IP) can create value from their ideas, turning inspiration into sustainable business success.
Our new one-day CPD accredited workshop has been designed for business owners, inventors, product designers, business coaches, accountants, university lecturers and those with the responsibility for managing an IP portfolio to learn about IP from the IPO Business Outreach Team gaining an understanding of IP and how it can impact a business.
You will learn about:
· protecting and defending your own IP – at home and abroad
· understanding other people’s IP and how to avoid trouble
· trade secrets and confidentiality
The workshop will be informative with a booklet provided and it will be engaging and interactive, bringing IP to life through presentations, case studies, quizzes and exercises.
