Mark Beaton

Biography
Mark Beaton brings over 30 years’ experience in technology, digital transformation and large‑scale organisational change, built through a senior career at Accenture and subsequent non‑executive roles across government and the NHS.
Between July 2022 and March 2026 Mark served as a Non‑Executive Director at the Ministry of Justice. He chaired the Parole Steering Oversight Group, achieving a 15% reduction in outstanding cases in six months, and the Delivery Programme Board, providing oversight and challenge on major departmental digital and transformation programmes. He has also undertaken reviews on court reform, information leaks and electronic monitoring.
A former senior managing director and member of Accenture’s global leadership, he led major digital and operational divisions, worked with global clients on complex transformation programmes, and drove significant progress on leadership development, inclusion and diversity across a 185,000‑person business.
Non-Executive Director
The non-executive director team come from the private sector with experience of managing large or complex organisations and projects.
Non-executive directors provide advice and bring an external perspective to the department. They also provide support, guidance and challenge on the progress and implementation of operational business plans, recruitment and succession planning.
