Liam Orme
Biography
Liam Orme joined the GIAA in October 2016 and is Director of Delivery Directorate 1 (DD1). Liam’s directorate covers audit services to the following departments and their arm’s length bodies: Cabinet Office, HM Treasury, Home Office, Ministry of Defence, Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, Department for Energy Security & Net Zero, Department for Culture Media & Sport, Department for Transport, Department for Business & Trade, Department for Science, Innovation & Technology. Liam has a particular focus on continuous quality improvement.
Liam is a qualified accountant and internal auditor with over 25 years’ experience of delivering internal audit, risk management, and assurance services to a wide range of organisations across the private and public sectors. Previously, he has been the group chief internal auditor for both the Ministry of Justice and the Home Office and retains a keen interest in the criminal justice system.
